With the same advanced electronics and outstanding tones, Strymon treated some of its classic pedals to sleek black finishes near the end of 2021. These dark pedals are part of a limited run from Strymon. All tones and functions are the same as the original models.
Taking inspiration from early recording techniques, the Strymon Deco Tape Saturation and Doubletracker brings reel-to-reel tape effects directly to your pedalboard. To start, the Deco can add rich, harmonic tape saturation to the incoming signal. The saturation knob adjusts how hard the tape machine input is being pushed. At lower settings, subtle tape compression and saturation will be present and become more extreme as the input is pushed, just like a typical reel-to-reel machine would respond. The Deco doesn’t stop there. This two-in-one pedal also offers an ADT or Automatic Double Tracker effect. Made popular by The Beatles and other psychedelic musicians from the 60’s, this reel-to-reel tape effect can go from subtle flanging or chorus onwards to slap-back echo and delay with a turn of one knob. Strymon’s Deco isn’t just designed for guitarists; with the added studio input mode the Deco works beautifully with line level gear such as synths or as an effect send in your DAW or mixer. Let the Strymon Deco take you on a trip back in time.
