In the spring of 2018, Russo Music worked with the Martin Custom Shop to design six acoustic instruments from the ground up. These guitars featured illustrious, exotic woods from various locations about the globe – including Adirondack Spruce, Englemann Spruce, Central American Cocobolo, and sinker Mahogany sourced from Belize. As part of our custom collaboration and overall love for the instrument of guitar, we are proud to bring you this Custom M-14. The M-14 body style can be best described as having the length of a dreadnought with the depth of a 000. This style can achieve a quick peak volume and also carry with added low end and chime – sometimes missing from a shallow depth acoustic. This particular Martin M-14 features an Adirondack Spruce top, Sinker Mahogany back and sides, and Madagascar Rosewood body binding. The Sinker Mahogany used for this guitar comes from a sourced batch having aged 200 years underwater in the tropical climate of Belize. A tropical climate denotes are pronounced dry and wet seasons, and there is a temperature of at least 64 degrees Fahrenheit year round. Its growth habitat makes mahogany sourced from Belize extremely desirable in the guitar community. We are proud to have worked with Martin Guitars to bring you this exclusive custom M-14.
