This Gibson GA-6 is from the first year of production of this amplifier dating to 1954. It is the first iteration of the GA-6 model that was offered in a dark brown tolex with a Gold Gibson Logo. At some point in its life the amplifiers logo was taken off. The tolex shows signs of scratches, dings, and tears across the cabinet. The grill cloth has aged to a nice golden brown with no tears with some discoloration. The amplifier’s original speaker was replaced with a 12″ Alessandro GA-SC64 and a 3 prong cord has been installed.
