The Kramer SM-1 electric guitar is a high-octane axe providing serious tone and playability for the purest of shredding. The SM-1 is part of Kramer’s Original Collection, a series with the goal of resurrecting a variety of different Superstrats.
Ideal for high-gain applications, the SM-1’s neck-through mahogany body is beautifully contoured for comfortable, speedy playing. Kramer designed this guitar with tremolo-induced single-note use in-mind, so the SM-1 is equipped with a rock-solid Floyd Rose 1000 series double-locking tremolo and tailpiece with a locking nut. Whether you’re reaching for dive-bombs, vibratos, or flutters, it’s difficult to knock this guitar out of tune with the Floyd Rose.
Moving up, the SM-1 has a mahogany neck and an ebony fingerboard making for seamless navigation up and down the 24 medium jumbo frets. Easily slip your hand into the K-Speed SlimTaper “C” neck profile with a 14” fingerboard radius for effortlessly quick single-note runs.
This shred machine is loaded with two Seymour Duncan Cool Rails humbuckers in the neck and middle positions, and one Seymour Duncan JB humbucker in the bridge for getting the absolute most out of its powerful design. The SM-1’s mini toggle introduces the JB humbucker’s coil-splitting capabilities, further enhancing the experience. Completing the setup, the guitar includes one master tone control and one master volume control with a treble bleed mod.
The SM-1 comes with black chrome hardware, black chrome Kramer tuning machines and a black, banana-style headstock to complement its Candy Blue, gloss finish.
