The Gibson J-35 30s Faded pays homage to the classic 1930s round shoulder dreadnought design originally created as an economical alternative to more expensive guitars in the line. This 30s Faded model boasts a solid Sitka Spruce top over a solid Mahogany back and sides for balanced output across the tonal spectrum. The finish is a satin nitro lacquer which allows the instrument to feel like an old friend without any actual wear or aging. Nitrocellulose lacquer is the traditional musical instrument finish because if its ability to protect the instrument without hindering the acoustic nature of the wood.
The solid mahogany neck features a round neck profile with a 12” radius, unbound rosewood fingerboard with simple MOP dot inlays. Other vintage inspired appointments include the firestripe pickguard, rectangular straight-line bridge, and the open gear Grover tuning machines.
Vintage meets modern with the inclusion of the LR Baggs VTC pickup system which is controlled by discreet volume and tone wheels in the soundhole. Hardshell case is, of course, included. Handmade in Bozeman, Montana.
