This 1973 Gibson SG Standard has been played hard and cared for throughout its years. It proudly sports original hardware such as Gibson tuning machines, and Gibson Wide Travel “Harmonica” Tune-o-matic Bridge with stopbar tailpiece, with some updates like new frets and switch tip to elongate its playability while retaining its vintage appearance.
This guitar has some significant playwear, including several nicks along the front and edges of the body on the lower bout, as well as some other light scratching around the pick guard and horns. The back of the body shows some scratching as well, with several small nicks in the finish. The same pattern of scratches appear on the back of the neck and headstock. There is some strap block residue around the upper strap button. There is a 4 inch scar running vertically from the back of the headstock to the neck at the site of a past repair. The first 5 frets have been replaced, and all frets have been leveled, crowned, and polished. They are very low to the fingerboard.
