This 1940s Slingerland Radio King features a beautifully aged silver sparkle finish that’s turn to a nice gold. This model is known for its mahogany shells with maple re-rings delivering a very deep but mid-range tone. This kit was used by a lefty player given the placement of the Ludwig tom mount and was used through the 1960’s given all of the modifications from 1960’s parts including a Ludwig cymbal and tom mounts and legs installed on both the kick and floor tom.
This 1940s Slingerland Radio King kit is in good condition. The snare drum bottom hoop has a slight warp and cannot be tightened all the way. A 1960’s Slingerland throw off has been installed and the 3-point original is not included. The 13″ rack tom has had a 1960s mount installed and shows 3 holes from the original Slingerland mount.
